It contains no real patients, no personal data and no clinical records. Open the syntax file in Stata's Do-file Editor, SPSS's Syntax Editor or RStudio's Source pane. 3. Run one numbered section at a time. 4. Read the matching Statistics Lab page on gerostats.co.uk. TEACHING DESIGN --------------- The medication review is observational rather than randomised. Age, living arrangement, deprivation, medication count, baseline frailty and baseline disability can affect review allocation and later outcomes, so crude and adjusted results differ. This is intentional: it creates a realistic worked example of confounding without making a clinical claim. IMPORTANT --------- These simulated data and results are for statistical education only.
